Even if we were sure that there is none, it’s important we explore everything existing. Many might argue that as we haven’t received any signals from outer space, the whole exercise is a complete waste of time and money. But I’d say, the only reason we haven’t received any signals of life in the Universe apart from Earth is just because we haven’t yet tried to reach out. These are baby steps...you have to see it to believe it!
