We are talking about chemical castration which would eliminate every sexual desire of a person. Doctors consider it the best rehabilitation for rapists and pedophiles but all the research indicates that chemical intervention only works if it’s done as part of the overall treatment of a sex offender. Overall, i think i will be happy if this kind of law takes shape even in my country.

Sexual predators take their move because of the organ between the ears. castration might eliminate sexual desire but what if the drive persists? it will only express itself in non-genital molestation and i am afraid the predatory sexual abuse might take a shape that we might not have even thought about.

I know personely victims of violent sexual abuse - 2 children and a women. They have been damaged physically and mentally for the rest of their lives, they were traumatized with out mercy and in fear of their lives.

I say castrate these offenders any way as they cannot be rehabilitated and they don’t deserve any mercy let their scars be for the rest of their lives too!

No..as it will make these peverts even more inhuman and left with a life long ability to damage society for what it has done to them....and what they will then do is totally unpredictable..

Rape and sexual abuse are not about sex, but about power and control. Castration, whether chemical or physical, will only add to the frustration of the abuser, possibly leading them to commit even greater physical abuses on their victims.

Sexual abusers can not be rehabilitated, the repeat rate is almost 100%. The best that can be done is protect society from their depredations. In this case, the rights of the few are far outweighed by the rights of the many

I think the idea of castration, whether chemical or physical, is a non-starter. Life imprisonment without parole or the death penalty (where applicable) are better solutions. Contruct separate prisons for this crime and let them prey on each other.

Although, technically, castration looks as the cardinal solution to a problem, a question remains whether brain would not produced chemistry pushing offenders into non-conventional sex-gratifications afterwards.
