Will world without nuclear weapons be more dangerous?

In his recent Prague speech, the US president pointed out the danger of nuclear proliferation and argued for a world without nuclear weapons. It’s clear that nuclear warheads on earth could be disarmed, but it’s almost impossible to have inclusive intelligence about its production. In such a situation, what could be the consequences of such a world? Who can guarantee in a world free of nuclear weapons that agreeing parities won’t withdraw from the agreement at some point?

In a complex world where every nation is dependent on others for fulfilling the requirements of citizens, there are very few chances of any country violating the agreement.

The obama plan, no doubt, of a nuclear-free world is laudable, but it's easier said than done. I have doubt about the support he will get from other nuclear states, or those whose nuclear program is close to producing weapons.

a vision without action is a dream, an action with no vision is a nightmare. Let us see how big difference does Obama make between these two!!!

Obama plan is the best option available at the moment, but thought little late and one knows not when, if at all, it will be executed. Had bush thought about it besides putting the Missile defense shield, it would have not only saved many confrontations with Russia but also have eliminated threats from Iranian and N. Korean nuclear program for ever. little late but still its not too late...good luck obama!

No! it will make world a better place to live in. bcoz this makes a sense!! yeah! having nuclear weapons and technology and barring others to have the same is what provokes these nations more to have them...If the nuclear weapon equipped nations will destroy their own weapons, they hv every reason to force others do destroy or not to have them!!!

I imagine that they will all say, ”Ok America, you destroy yours first.” Then when they think all the nukes are gone....BOOM! .....Mushroom clouds over Washington.
