Days before the Valentine’s Day, many cities seem all set to experience a fierce battle between the Hindu moral police and the liberal and socializing denizens. A campaign has already started on Facebook and Orkut and is growing exponentially. A flurry of activities is also taking place in both the opposition camps. Clash looks imminent by the kind of posturing that are going on. But the question remains: is moral policing a thing worth consideration in a secular and law abiding country or should they be allowed to do so at all?

I ask who the hell they are to teach us what to do or what not to. we haven't done anything wrong if we celebrated the V day? what irks them. if they don't like it be with it why forcing other to do what they think is right. and these so called leaders of the nations sucks when they do noting but remain mere spectators in a country that boasts itself to be a secular state despite being having almost all the major religions of the world.

To each one his own. Let each individual figure out what’s good for him or her, as long as their individual choices are not causing anybody any harm. The pseudo-hindu culturalists clad in safforn should know for sure that beating up women is surely not a part of any culture.

Yes you are right: let everyone decide what s/he wants provided the individual choices are not causing any harm to anyone. It's only then we can boast to be not only the biggest but the most successful democracies of the world.
i wish the sense will prevail someday to all these moral policemen who take themselves nothing more than god to teach what is good or bad for the society.
