Google and Microsoft rivalry has begun long ago, where former is toiling and manipulating hard to save its search supremacy while latter is evermore anxious to take away the No. 1 slot. In a further development, Microsoft Corp and Yahoo Inc inked a 10-year Web search deal to better compete against market leader Google Inc. As per the deal, Microsoft’s Bing search engine will be the exclusive algorithmic search and paid search technology for Yahoo’s sites, while Yahoo will be responsible for selling premium search ads for both companies. So, will Microsoft and Yahoo together overtake Google’s search supremacy?

I think Google needs some decent competition. I don't think any such deal could do any harm to Google's dominance.

It's in fact big deal from Microsoft, but only time will tell whether they collectively can end the Google's supremacy or not. Ultimately people are going to get better results from the MS-Yahoo combine.

I don't think they can still match up to Google. The deal is for 10 years. The best MS can do by then is kill the brand value of Yahoo! then there will be just MS and Google in the market.
