The rising numbers of fat people are blamed for global warming by the researchers at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Each fat person is said to be responsible for emitting a ton more of climate-warming carbon dioxide per year than a thin one. Scientists warned that the increase in big-eaters means more food production — a major cause of CO2 gas emissions warming the planet.

I agree on a condition... that the medical establishment actually do something besides just say lose weight. Insurance will not pay for weight loss until a person is over 100 pounds over weight, and many not at all.

on the other side of the coin, I see this as just the latest fad of ”who can we get away with discriminating against now?”
Years ago when people found out that it wasn’t acceptable to discriminate against race or gender they turned to sexual orientation, then got bored with that and turned on smokers, now it is the obese that are in the cross hairs.
