Should Michael Phelps be charged for firing a bong?

Michael Phelps, the Olympic swimming champion, will face criminal charges if an investigation proves that he broke the law by smoking marijuana.

A young man appears to be smoking pot at a party is not a big deal. Even the newly sworn in US president, Barack Obama, has freely admitted doing just that in his youth, even more. However, no one raised any questions like these and it didn’t derail him one bit during his presidential campaign. So should we expect more of Michael Phelps or should he be charged for this?

Well, I see your point Holly. Comparing to many things out there, it is minimal; however it remains ”illegal” in the US and therefore unlawful. Any citizen committing unlawful actions are to be penalised in court regardless who they may be.

With privileges and rights comes responsibility and order. This is self-explanatory I suppose.
