A row has started between India and Albania over where Mother Teresa’s remains should be buried. Albania demanded the return of the last remains of the Nobel Laureate which India rejected saying “Mother Teresa was an Indian citizen and she is resting in her own country, her own land”. Many believe that it’ll usher in an ugly three-way squabble between India, where she worked most of her life, Albania where her parents came from and Macedonia where she lived the first 18 years of her life. Where do you think her remains should be buried? Should India adhere to Albanian demand?

Albania is a communist country second to only China when it comes to the suppression of the individual rights of its citizens! WHY should India give up one of its "Greatest Spiritual Treasures" to a nation who respected none of its citizens rights and denies the rights of ANY religious rights or religious freedoms of Albanian citizens? She is a naturalized Indian citizen and as a naturalized citizen SHE had made it clear to ALL that India Is and WAS her home....NOT Albania! Kudos to the Indian Government to stand up to the blatant evil and "ruse" of the Albanian government which is strictly atheistic by design and choice!

About Mother Teresa’s remains being flown to Albania. I think the Albanian government should not be concerned about where the remains of mother Teresa is because it was mother Teresa’s wish to be buried in India where she actually belonged. If they are so concerned they should do what mother Teresa likes best. They should celebrate her 100th birthday with the people she loved so much. They should give to them and make them not to miss their mother so much. That i believe will make mother Teresa happy and not the exhumation of her fragile body. Thanks.

If the Albanians are so keen on having Mother Teresa back, they should learn what she represents. Mother Teresa’s work was done in the name of Christian teachings. The Albanians should come back to that and to us [Europe]; they are truly missed.

Well, evidently Mother Teresa didn't make much of an impact on the civility of these folks!

Mother Theresa might view this as an enormous waste of time and resources that could be used for the poor.

Why create petty issues of keeping the remains of Mother Teresa. Her work towards mankind is already in our mindsets. So, let’s move on.
If Albanian’s demand for her remains, we should be handing it over to them despite she holding our countries citizenship.
After all she is a daughter first to where she was born. So, we can go ahead and hand over the remains.
