I haven’t heard of anyone beating up on students here. I am not saying it never happens, there are racist people in every country, but I have just never heard of students targeted because of race.

After working for an Australian firm Macquarie, I can definitely say that Australians have a racist mindset. They laid off several employees in India. It was no surprise that all the laid off employees were Indian. They did not lay off even a single Australian expat. Also, when it comes to paying bonuses, they reward only Australians. They pay Indians as little as possible while Australians get paid far more than they deserve for far less work done.

That was a wonderful message. yes, illegal immigrants need to be taken care of. By immigration, I mean inflow of skilled workers (doctors, engineers etc.), not cab drivers and all. There are many gangs I have heard in the southern states of USA composed of illegal migrants, especially from Mexico and region. That’s risky.

Anyways, European countries are good for immigration as well, and I think many a people in countries other than England are also comfortable with English. Learning a new language is preferable over living in a country with widespread racism!

Who told you that quality of studies is better here? Having few IITs and IIMs you are claiming a better infrastructure of studies here. What about the countless people who don't have access to education. Here is a dual education policy, one for the elite class and second for the most deprived sections of the society. Children of elite class study in the convent schools while those of deprived section have to study in the schools where they don't get even matrices to sit down.

You are right that crime is very where but why only the students from India are being targeted there? You may say that initially these attacks were not the racial, but continuity in the attacks against Indian students show that these are no more the attacks by opportunists.

I am pretty sure it is not just the color of their skin, but the amount of students from India. A few, and no one notices, thousands and it is hard not to notice. Any community can only absorb so many people before it becomes overcrowded and its infrastructure is overburdened.
