About 120 activists, academics, constitutional scholars, public officials and legal experts gathered for the ‘Bush war crimes conference’ in Massachusetts last week.
The conference, according to its organizers, is a “throwback to the framers of the constitution,” which aims to establish “necessary organizational structures” to pursue those guilty of war crimes “to the ends of the Earth.”

Let’s not single out Bush. He’s just the poster boy for US atrocities. And war crimes is a very narrow classification.

He should be prosecuted for being a stupid man (here in Brazil he asked for Lula to show where is Amazon on the map).

Poor Georgie. He’s just out there protecting Cheney’s capitalistic interests. :)
If these war crimes refer to Iraq, again, let’s not single out poor Georgie. Tony Blair is an accomplice in all those Black Ops of the US-UK invasion.

Iam sure if the rest of the world was asked if Bush shld be prosecuted for war crimes, they would quitely say yes and immidiately but who is confident enough to push for Bush’s prosecution? thats ma question and not only Bush all those who have been implicated in war crimes but Bushy is their head boy and he shld be number one.

Surely, he should be. Bush’s prosecution at this point of time seems implausible but, may be, future Presidency would ask questions about the sanity of these crimes. Using foreign soil for its vengeance can never be justified.

I agree in te fact that we can not single one bad apple out... We would need a HUGE bag to get all the bad seeds for government and officials who have been involved in war crimes...Not to say he shouldn’t be accused, just make sure when one head rolls, the rest follow.

I think Bush Sr. would have to be tried as well, afterall much of what G.W. has done is go back and try to finish up the plans his father left unfinished.

I believe that those activists should move to live in Iran, Siria.... It is easy to criticise and forget the 3500 innocents killed on 9/11... that is their way to hide fear... Irak has never been better and now is growing to be a great and rich country... Bush is doing what he has to do.

I don’t think anyone who criticizes their own government should be exiled, and I hardly feel Americans, much less the world have forgotten or could forget the 9-11 terrorist attack. People have a right to speak up, that is the DEMOCRATIC right, if you don’t like that, maybe YOU should consider moving to Iran or Syria, because democratic law and civil rights are definitely not your way of thinking.

If an American president is prosecuted for war crimes the world will witness unprecedented bloodshed, atrocities, human rights violation and total lawlessness. It is America which is maintaining some peace in the world with its bullying policies that sometimes made America look like a terror state.

And yes, imagine, if not for Bush, the Taliban would have been chopping limbs and caning women, blowing up planes etc. The list is endless for why the world should remain grateful to America and its great presidents like the current incumbent.

No, Bush shouldn't be prosecuted for war crimes even though some of the actions of the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan might seem like war crimes. If you prosecute the American president for war crimes, the world will become completely lawless.
