Philippines :

The Showgirl and men’s magazine model Raffella Fico, 20, sets her virginity on sale for 1m Euros. It’s not for the first time that a woman is to auction her virginity for a large sum. Earlier, an 18-year-old US student in San Diego, Natalie Dylan, put $1 million amount to have her for the first time to pay her college fees. In 2005 a Peruvian model, also 18, put herself up for sale to help pay her family’s medical bills.

Selling Virginity is a sophisticated form of prostitution where you lure in the the prospective customer with an additive tag. Life defeats you on many counts, but you should never pick the wrong way no matter how much money it would bring to you. There are people who do suffer to that limit and breakdown thus resorting to such ways, but life is not about bowing down, but fighting till your last breath. One hit at her and your millions would be gone. She is luring you into having sex with her, with virginity as her prime asset. What else can you call it other than prostitution. It’s not the reason but the act that defines your character.

Selling of virginity is a hype that a wannabe wants to create and attract attention. If she was so concerned about virtues and morals, she wouldn’t be publicizing it in the first place. Just another showgirl finding an innovative way to attract attention.

I agree with you Radhika, She is just another one of those wannabes for if she did value that virginity so much, she wouldn’t have placed a price for it. As they say,’something which is invaluable can never be tagged for money’. And moreover, the way she has gone about publicizing her virginity, it just makes me doubt whether she is a natural virgin or has she taken help from that recently famous hymen rebuilding technique. I pity the guy, who would be fooled by her.

Why not? There are many men around who think that rupturing the maidenhead is a privileged opportunity and a price can be paid for it. It is quite okay for these virgins to milk those idiots who are willing to part with a fortune.

It's a big scam. There is no way one can guarantee that a girl is a virgin when hymenoplasty or revirgination surgery is done on an industrial scale.

Eric, sadly the fact is that the rich turds who have ample to squander do not think like me and you. For them it would just be a high-profile bang. It is not the million euros or the virginity that they would care about, just that they humped a famous babe is good enough for them. With millions dying without food and shelter, such a waste of money sounds hurting. How many lives can that money save is a question to ponder over.

This is nothing but prostitution. A street walker sells her body and sexual services to people for a livelihood or to earn money for something she wants to have. The same is the case here. And when nothing helps, means to sell oneself is justified.

Indulging in prostitution to fund studies is not a new thing for women.
It is more widespread than one can imagine and it is prevalent in countries where higher education is expensive.
This story is getting more attention because she is a model and putting her 'virginity' for sale.

A million euros for having sex with a virgin? What is the guarantee that she is a virgin? For that much money, you can sleep with a thousand virgin teens who would be more than willing to get their cherries popped. She ain't worth it.

NO other term can justify such an act where a so-called VIRGIN places a price tag for her supposed virginity. It’s clearly an enticement for high profile clients and idiots, who can take their time and money out for such prostitutes.

Whether it is justified or not is subject to speculation considering the circumstances under which the person resorts to this act.If its poverty driven, even if it is wrong, you cant blame them for the desperation..it is nothing but prostitution. But yes like radhika mentioned ,here, its nothing but a publicity gimmick where you have put aside your morals considering you are a model. But lets face it no one is a fool...if a person is auctioning(sorry for the word)her virginity and putting a price tag to the same, she is also aware of the fact that there will be more than willing idiots who fall for such stupidity!

Agreed in all passiveness Nishi! Love making is more about pleasure than about finding virgins and sleeping with them. If one intends to spend a huge sum as that, he should at least be satisfied for what he did. It isn’t a virgin that would give you pleasure but a women who likes making love herself. I am desperately waiting for the name of the stupid who would shell that amount. He wouldn’t do it if he follows the comments on this link so let us stop calling him a fool for a while.

Well, not so sure about this but I definitely adore those women who show a bit more brains and marry a millionaire to get a better grip on their dreams. No debates and no hassles.
The act of selling ones virginity somehow fails to justify itself. I mean, who needs $1 million to pay the college fees??

Virginity is the state of mind, it’s no longer the fuss over a hymen. Which by the way can be artificially reconstructed through surgery. According to me this girl has already lost it to money!

Cool way to earn some cash for a layer or skin. The girls have all the fun and get paid for it too. Wish a guy's virginity was so sought after by women and had some kind of a physical stamp. Together with my plastic surgeon we could have made millions by now.

Hey Brajesh, it’s not so simple for a girl. Selling verginity may be sophisticated, but only for these high class babes but, not for all. It’s not a good idea when you have other options to earn money for survival. In reality the real poor prostitutes are deprived of evrything, education, money, family support, good environment etc. That’s why they take this profession of prostitution.

NOT AT ALL. THIS IS SO UNFAIR FOR GUYS. Why shouldn't men have similar things to trade for money?
This is gross and a kind of way to show men down by the feminists. They know they can sell what lies between their thighs for a premium if she is a virgin.

Virginity is a state of mind and not a physical status. Just as you cannot say that a four year old rape victim a non-virgin.
This way, the model in question is far from being a virgin.
Whether she had penetrative sex or not cannot be guaranteed by any one. Just as the absence of the maidenhead doesn't necessarily mean a woman is not a virgin, similarly, the presence of a maidenhead doesn't mean that she is a virgin with revirgination surgery being so widespread, just like getting a nose or a boob job done these days.
This girl is nothing more than a prostitute because at the end of the day she will be having sex with someone for money.

Flesh trade can never be justifiable. It is immoral and virginity can never be compensated by any amount of money. The body is the most precious possession that an individual has. Pleasure for others doesn’t mean you have to give it to them for a price and for you to survive. If everyone will have a mentality that flesh trade is fine, then what society are we promoting? We are not the lower kinds of animals. We have rationality and logic.
2 Stars
Agree
Of course. In the real sense both involve trading flesh. Obviously in these highly publicized incidents the real aim is to milk money and generate quick fame. Still the end seems to be the same. I mean if the girl is not virgin (even if her brother swears to the contrary) then it is prostitution de facto.
And off the point. I think we as a society have this funny craving for subjecting everyone to moral rules. If someone wants to treat his/her body as a shop, why should we object to it?
