John McCain’s latest campaign ad compares Barack Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton stating - “He’s the biggest celebrity in the world, but is he ready to lead?” GOP seems to try to highlight Obama as a celebrity with little experience to lead the country.

He is a good politician and his early successes have made him to be a celebrity. He was a politician first who became a celebrity later and now running for the White House. It is the hard way. Being a celebrity first and then a political leader is a lot easier.

He seems like a celebrity. The media during his run off with Hillary Clinton paid more attention to Barrack Obama because he had an appeal like a celebrity and that was eventually Hillary's downfall.

No. Barack Obama is a leader at first, and then anything else. It is his leadership quality that makes him something like a hero in the eyes of people. Celebrities are better known for their luxurious lifestyle, but Obama is recognized for the strength of his voice and action. What we expect from the leader of a nation and a celebrity is entirely different.

The way media has treated him clearly shows that Obama is still more style than substance.
All through his campaign he has been defended and cajoled by talk show hosts. People have been more attracted to him because of his magnetism than say concrete political stances, which by the way are remarkably missing in this Presidential candidate.

Trumping over the more seasoned Hillary Clinton in the primaries, battle hardened Obama has clearly demonstrated that he is there to lead.
Fearing that the popularity of the young democratic presidential nominee may drown the republican campaign, McCain by releasing such an advertisement has hit below the belt and taken the clean campaign into negative zone.
One may disagree with Obama’s tax proposals or his foreign policy vision but he has asserted his position both as a leader and as a celebrity.
