Is ‘adoption fever’ amongst celebrities a PR ploy?

It’s been seen time and again that celebrities are going for the adoption one after the other. After Angelina Jolly, now it’s Madonna who is fighting for the custody of a Malawian girl, Mercy. It’s quite surprising that these celebrities are looking to Africa for adoptions while ignoring the orphans of their own country. In these circumstances, it is quite debatable whether the adoptions are more fame oriented than heartfelt.

More for their self serving egos that the general pubic created by glorifying these no bodies to a point where they think their god
Strip all humans to our birth clothes and we are all the same
This tells how the dizzy of the world are the majority
A fool that is glorifying another is a fool
I wouldn’t trust theses fools with my toilet paper

I think we've been a little unfair right now. If a celebrity does not do anything for the society people give them a bad name and when they do people still try to find flaws.....Get reasonable guys!

The valid point is that when we have so many orphans in our own country, why are they adopting children from Africa??

Another thing is that they have so much money that they can easily run a quality orphanage for children with proper schooling, then why don't they do that??

Adopting one or two kids is obvious that they wanna gain some respect. That's all!

They want to show their friends how generous they are to the africans.

Africa is full of poor children, adopting 5 or ten won't help

Right!

But it does make difference in the lives of those who get adopted. They'll live a celebrity lifestyle. Think!

Why doesn't she adopt an American child? There are a lot of poor American children in the system that could use a good home. Why do these celebrities always go to foreign countries to adopt? Because it makes them look more like humanitarians? They should help their own first

I agree it’s publicity and ego driven. As if there are no poor children in their own countries. So many celbs have quietly adopted kids with no fanfare. It’s really sickening.
