Can Pope’s visit bring peace to Mideast?

Pope Benedict XVI is on his visit to Jordan which is his first visit to an Arab country after becoming Pope. On his visit, Pope is hopeful that the Catholic Church could play a part in bringing peace to the Middle East. Pope aims to create a better dialogue with Muslims and Jews and to encourage the Christian minority in the Middle East. However, keeping in mind Pope’s past comments about Islam, what effect do you think this visit will have on the region? Will it help bring reconciliation to the Middle East?

The simple answer is no ,or no ,by the way ,did i say –no
The mind set of religions want their beliefs to be the right ones and will never see reason because of the brainwashing at a young age
Only a dizzy brainwashed human would think that any religion would accept another
The gold of any belief to to have everyone believe like you and in that way your god must be the right one
So dizzy churns out dizzy

This foolish talk was said ever since people started believing IN different gods

Nope, unfortunately, we will never be able to live in peace. It is much more complicated than to be solved through a visit by any human being...

No, nothing will bring peace to the Mideast short of the 2nd coming of Christ.

Yes! It can at least be seen as the first step towards the peace.

Yes it will surely influence people in mid east, specially the Christians there who will get some moral support as well from Pope's visit.

Nops! I don't think one man can help to resolve the age old issues of Mid-east and that too where people are so fond of their religion that they already want to spread across the world.

It gratifies one to note that the pope speaks of the misguided use of religious means to achieve political ends.

In this highly troubled epoch, the world needs multi-lateral respect badly. Pope Benedict does the right thing this time. By showing due respect to others, one is in fact giving oneself the self-respect one is seeking for.
