Brangelina’s million dollar babies - Are celebrities using their kids as business commodities?

Jolie and Pitt are expecting twins. An all out war between top celeb magazines, OK! and People, has already begun the grab first exclusive pictures of the babies, reportedly both girls. According to the latest reports published by TMZ.com, bidding has soared to US $15 million. In 2006, Brangelina roped in $4.1 million by selling exclusive image rights of their first baby Shiloh to People. The couple has the right to sell image rights and encash on the celebdom they currently enjoy. However, few argue that involving newborn babies for money is going too far.

Well to begin with most celebrities don’t even have the care and will to raise a child from infancy. But this is the first I’ve heard of this and that sounds terrible. Selling pictures and having rights to the pictures blah! I can’t wait to see how their kids grow up and hear they were using them for their own personal gain.

nothing surprising...that is perhaps what you and me would have done... it's all about opportunities...they have opportunities. But i have none. things depend on opportunities, we get it we exploit it, we do not get it we start making noise.

So would you exploit a chance to shoot someone for $10,000? Exploiting things isn’t always the right choice and this is one of them. Exploiting a child for your own gain. I wouldn’t be surprised if they whore the child out for a couple mill. Doubtful, but would you agree with it then when they are merely ’exploiting the opportunity’?

No they did not ask anything like that. It is the media and the entertainment magazines who are crazy about having the baby pics and want to grab the maximum fame and profit out of it. why to blame them.

well this is hypocrisy to blame them for using their kids as the business commodities. this is their luck why to wry against it. they are too happy for gonna have twins, and rightly so. they have every reason to do that. And if with that they are getting huge bucks of money merely for one pic of their offspring's, there is noting wrong or is there. we all would have done so had we been on their stature.

yes i agree with it. they are mo better than business people who are looking to exploit every opportunity to gain more and to be in the lime light for all the time. they don't want to miss even a single cent or moment of it.

well, Taylor i wonder if you can differentiate between shooting someone for $10,000 and selling pics of your newborns? I don't see it is exploiting children. How it is can you please tell me?

May not be all the time but this one is not too big an issue. on the other Branagelina is not doing so but are offered with the mammoth account. being offered and offer to do that are two different things altogether. isn't it??

The Branagelina-kids episode has given the couple much respite to be in the news despite a nose dive in their acting careers. More and more actors and actress are resorting to this technique which is more cost effective and is a sure way to success. But the only sad part is the use of the kids who haven’t yet seen this world! Sometimes, it feels like a sci-fi movie being made by Disneyland.
